Nothing Can Change
My World Like You

Wish You Were My Girl

Words

Wish You Were My Girl

It was the first day of summer
I didn't have much to do
So I sat down
And wrote this song for you
You know every time
I look at you I feel so blue
I think I would feel much better
If you said you loved me too

I wish you were my girl
I want you, I love you
I need you to be mine, girl
I wish you were my girl

I saw you out again
Last night with another man
You were lovey-dovey
Walking hand in hand

Guitar solo

I wish I was the one with you
You don't know how I need you girl
I want you to say you'll be mine
And save me from this cold, cold world

I wish you were my girl
I want you, I love you
I need you to be mine, girl
I wish you were my girl

I wish you were my girl (Laura, I need you!)
I want you, I love you (I really do!)
I need you to be mine, girl (yes, that's true!)
I wish you were my girl (Ya, I need you cause I really love you!)

Repeat and fade; guitar solo grows louder then stops

(no sound) Only if you were my girl
